More Details & Photos
The Getaway Van is a 1985 Ford Econoline that was converted into a camper van by The Getaway Van company in Canada.
If you are looking for a low fi escape from the city with a retro vibe this is the perfect camper van for you. The cabin has been renovated, but the front cab has retained its original 80’s retro charm, tape player and all. This van is ready to hit the road, or you can continue the upgrades. This has been a great van for long road trips and weekend getaways.
This van is big enough to fit 2 adults and 1-2 small kids comfortably but small enough that you can pull into a standard parking spot when you do your pre-adventure shopping.
This van currently rents for $150 night during summer months on Outdoorsy, so it’s a great source of income when you aren’t using it.
New upholstery and drapes, flooring in cabin
Brakes, fuel pump, tires less then 2 years old
Plenty of storage
6 seat belts
Quirks of a 30 year old van:
Gas gauge is slightly off. No one has ever run out of gas, just need to be aware
The van was converted by Getaway company in Canada, so the odometer is in km and speedometer is in km & miles.
The exterior is in relatively good shape for its age, some rust, but no major dents.
The fridge is not currently working, but could be fixed or replaced.
